About
Inner turns every new tab into a small pause for daily reflection. Open a tab and you arrive in a quiet landscape, drawn for today, with light that follows your clock. A greeting, a short look back at your week, your search and your places. Then one small thing: a question for today, a five-second mood check-in, a minute to breathe, or nothing at all.
What you can do
- Check in with one tap. Eleven everyday tones, from Bright to Heavy, with a closer word, a topic or a note if you like.
- Write. Journal prompts appear on the tab, and there is always room to put a thought down.
- Talk it through. Seven ways in, one question at a time, and a calm guide that knows when to stop. On computers that can run it, the guide is Gemini Nano, the AI model built into Chrome, so the conversation never leaves your device.
- Look back. Everything you kept, by day, in your journal. After eight check-ins, Inner shows your patterns, always with the counts, never a score or a streak.
Private by design
- No account, no cloud, no sync. Your entries live in this browser, on this device.
- No analytics and no tracking.
- Three permissions: storage, your default search engine and site icons. No access to your history or the pages you visit.
- Export everything, choose how long entries are kept, pause saving, or delete it all in one step.
- Optional: connect your own AI service. It is off by default and asks before every conversation.
Permissions, and why
- storage
- Keep your settings on this device.
- search
- Send what you type in the search field to the search engine you already chose in Chrome.
- favicon
- Show the icons of the places you add, from Chrome’s own icon cache.
- Optional: one website address
- Only if you connect your own AI service, and only for that single address.
What it is not
Inner is not therapy and not a diagnosis. If something you write sounds like you are in real trouble, Inner stops and shows you where to find people who can help.
